About the event
Join us at the new Wild Birds Unlimited store across from the Morgantown Mall (7095 Mall Road, Morgantown) for this presentation by Dr. Doug Raybuck, Partner Biologist, WV Division of Natural Resources & USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. Cerulean Warblers are a declining species of conservation concern across their range. Understanding this species’ ecology and potential drivers of their population decline is challenging due to the vast geography used across the full annual cycle and difficulties tracking individuals throughout different life- history stages. Furthermore, habitat requirements can differ between nesting, post-fledging, migration, and overwintering periods. This presentation will cover 12 years of research aimed at addressing knowledge gaps concerning nesting ecology, post-fledging ecology, migration ecology, and overwintering ecology of Cerulean Warblers from across their breeding range to their Andean non-breeding grounds.
